I thought this map was interesting. It depicts that 97% of our cloths are made outside of the USA, namely from China. For more information visit WearAmIWearing. See also Worldmapper.

Charles gave me this box, from World Market, as a congratulations gift for my new job. It’s made out of broken bangles from Moradabad, India. I love the idea of reusing material to make something beautiful.
Additionally, my job has been great so far!

When I was a little girl I remember looking at pictures in a book about Martin Luther King Jr. in my dad’s office. Of course, not until I was older did I understand the full impact that MLK had on the world, and yet, how far we still need to go.
Click below to watch a beautiful arrangement of U2’s Pride (In the Name of Love) by John Legend featured on the History Channel’s KING.

My brother, Seth, recently purchased this poster for me, available here. The poster of Africa is prefaced with Bono’s quote, “where you live should no longer determine whether you live.” This idea can be heard on U2’s 2004 Crumbs from Your Table on the HTDAAB album. This particular statement was made in Bono’s address at the 2006 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC. A beautiful compilation of his speech was made into a book called On The Move.
Way to tune in, Bro.
